how did you deal witht eh drive by cable to drive by wire throttle body set-up? Did you convert the AVH over to drive by cable?

Default engine swap

all i know is that he changed the whole intake, from the other motor. He didnt know what he was getting in too. He also somehow fried the ccm I think. NO radio, power mirror, heated mirror, dome lights, or security(keyless entry). It does have a cable. as far as i know he changed throttle body and throttle control module. then went and spent over $300 for a new throttle control and still same problems.I think it still has the AEG coil pack but im not shure if that even matters. I dont know the difference in the two motors except AVH has electronic power control. what ever that is.Im just trying to learn as much as I can. THANKS

To the best of my knowledge the EPC should not play a difference as this is simply a traction control feature like ASR but works by controlling the amount of power the engine produces.

One thing that jumps out at me is connection between the throttle body and the ecu. The AEG is drive by cable and uses Motronic 5.9.2 in the ecu. The AVH is a drive-by-wire car and uses Motronic ME 7.5. If they two do not match up, the car could have trouble adapting the throttle body and translating the throttle angle.

In the end, it could also just be something simple that was overlooked during installation, like a bad vacuum line, O2 sensor, etc.
