Default 2.0 Engine Codes

In an information gethering effort, I'd like you 2.0 folks to reply here with your engine codes and if possible, if your VW has a secondary air pump/EGR. According to a pdf I found here: http://volkswagen.msk.ru/engine/aeg/...nb_general.pdf the AEG's all had the EGR system, but not the ABA or some BPY. I don't really and truly trust that info however and would like to find out what you other ORG'ers have under the hood.

TIA!

AEG, AVH, AZG, BDC, BEV, BGD

My AEG has the sap, but I'm sure it doesn't have egr.

Jian, If you have the SAP then you have an EGR (am I right guys?). Follow the output tube from the air pump, if it's like mine it ends at the EGR valve. Or at least the Ruskie's say it should..lol.

tdi's use egr(exhaust gas recirculation) to reduce emmisions.

The sap is used to reduce emmisions but it does not recirculate exhaust

what your calling the egr valve is the combi valve.

the combi valve is located behind the cylinder head you'll need to remove the intake pipe that connects to the air filter. it is in a very tight place. to pull this out you ll' need to lift the car, and check under with a flash light close to where the exhaust manifold, you'll see the two little holes where you can stick an long extension with a allen tip key I think a 5m or 6m that way you can unbolt the valve. I was trying to unbolt it from the upper part but is not possible
I think that's the reason they have the little two holes on the air deflector plate. mine was full of carbon and the gasket was very bad I WAS getting the code P0411 and a lot of engine rattle. if this help but I don't see that many topics on how to pull this part out.
