Default AC problem??

Hey. Maybe one of you can help me. I turned on my AC last week and it takes forever to cool down my car and it just doesn't seem to be as cold as it should be when I put my hand by the vent. I'm not sure if my AC needs charged(or something like that). That's what I've heard it could be at least.

Also, one of my vents on the dash doesn't blow any air out of it. I made sure it was open and it is. What could be wrong there??

Kimberly

Only one way to tell if it needs servicing. Take it into an A/C service center. They will check it out. It could just be dirt on the condenser (in front of the radiator).
If it is one of the center vents, a common problem is that the plastic control rod falls off of the vent lever. It takes a while, but you can fix it by removing the radio and putting it back into place.

Yep take it to someone for an a/c check. Before you do look in your local SUNDAY paper normally in the sports section for the automotive coupons. You will most likely find an a/c check coupon for anywhere around 19.95 or 29.95. Grab it up and take it in. With an 02 you will most likely have a freon leak or possibly the compressor is crapping out on ya. But there is still a slight chance that it may need just an evac and recharge. Good luck and let us know.
