Default Fan Sensors ?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram -or- understand the radiator fan circuit inputs ?????

When you first start the car and up until the car reaches 195 degrees neither fan is running. (have gauge pod) Once the coolant temp reaches 195+ the small lower fan on the passenger side of the car comes on.
#1) WHERE IS IT GETTING THE INPUT SIGNAL FROM ?
#2) HOW HOT DOES TEMP HAVE TO BE FOR THE SECOND FAN TO KICK IN?

When the little woman got home from work the other day she complained that the A/C wasn't really cold and the temp gauge got up to 245+ in bumper-to-bumper traffic. She claimed the red water temp idiot light never came on. When I popped the hood, and with the A/C running....only the smaller fan on the passenger side was running. I double checked the temp using a non-contact infrared heat gun pointed on the radiator about 1-1/2" away. It read 228 degrees fahrenheit. So.......
#3) IS THE LARGER FAN SURPOSED TO COME ON WHEN YOU TURN ON THE A/C ?
#4) WHERE IS THAT INPUT SIGNAL COMING FROM?

I was able to shut off the A/C and drive it to the interstate... and after a few miles at highway speeds the temp dropped back to around 200 degrees, even with the A/C on. This makes me believe my coolant fans are not working correctly.

Can anyone help me with this ???? I would appreciate your input. THANKS

Both fans come on when the A/C is on. Check the fuses on top of the battery, they have a habit of melting .... not blowing, but the plastic melting and the connection getting hot. When this happened to mine neither fan came on. If it is melted badly get a new fuseblock also.

I had the drivers side fan die on me. My A/C wasn't as cold and my car never overheated. If its hot outside and you turn the A/C on and get the small fan running, try and use a stick to see if you can get the fan to turn. Mine would turn if you started it, but it wouldn't start on its own. Got a new fan offline for $134, had my dad and bf replace it in under an hour. And it works like a charm. So you could just have a dead fan.
