80,000 mile service....what to expect?

Hey, my beetle is comming up on 80,000 miles. I want to get the recomended VW maintenance done at the stealership. Anyone know what they will do to the car and how much the may rape, i mean, charge me? 2000 2.0 no service done since my ownership two years ago.

$ is gonna hurt; prolly 400-600?

What they SHOULD do is:
change:
oil fluid,
oil filter
fuel filter,
air filter,
cabin filter,
spark plugs,
spark plug wires,
inspect:
timing belt,
accessory belt,
lubricate:
hood latch,
hatch latch,
door latches,
windows (I know they're crank but surely there's some sliding mechanism that should be greased)

They should check your CV Boots, and your suspension bushings.

And it's very likely they'll suggest a timing belt change (you're due in my book).


If you get the timing belt change, get the waterpump done as well.
