Check Engine Light - AGAIN

2nd time - same issue - check engine light gives the throttle body fault. Last time had the throttle body replaced and the light stayed off for a day. Then came back on - then three days later went off and stayed off for nearly a year - until yesterday it pops back on again. Same fault - It can't be the throttle body - any ideas? MAF? Do these things have vacuum hoses that could affect something like this (my Old GMC Safari was notorious for cracking those). I'm just not in a position right now to take this to a dealer for a fishing expedition.

mine kept coming on and after who knows how many trips to the stealership I mean dealership... they found that it was the sensor that sensed the temperature of the gas to let the throttle body know how much gas to use or something... Good luck with your problem, hopefully it is something simple...

my car has been one world of hurt for the past couple of months since i got it, first it was the timing belt and then studded snow tires and now today my engine check like came flashing on like crazy and my car instantly lost power once i got on the highway but was still running. except when i would press on the gas it would barely go and my car would then start to shake until i let off the gas. i have no idea what could be wrong and hopefully can make it to the dealership or should i say stealership. as you called it lol any ideas what it could maybe be??
