Default Brake Lights Won't Turn Off.

my brake lights won't turn off and cruise control doesn't work. i replaced the brake light switch and that didn't work. i was wondering if anybody else had any ideas what to try next, because i asked the dealer and they wouldn't help me out unless they were ripping me off. or is it just highly possible that i broke the first brake light switch. please help!!!

You probably broke the brake light switch that you put in. I had the same thing happen to me over the summer, and after buying two switches I gave up. Finally took it in to the dealership and paid them $40 to do it. It's not that hard to install, but there's some trick to doing it.
When you can't beat em', join em'. Then take em' apart from the inside.

Brake light switch is under recall. Contact the dealer and see if your car is included in the recall.
It is Volkswagen not Volkswagon.

i had the same problem
what you need is a brake light switch
but go buy it from the dealer, the ones they sell at auto zone are really the clutch ones.
i think i payed like 14 bucks for mine, and then you have to like set it and install is easy.
