Rear lid inop and trans slow to engage

Hello,

Not having much luck with search function. 2 problems

2002 NB 2.0 litre with 58,000 miles

1)The rear lid refused to open with drivers door switch or remote. I shut car off and tried again and everything seems back to normal.

2)Transmission intermittantly takes about 2-3 seconds to engage when going from park to drive. Once in Drive the car drives fine.

Anyone experience any of these two anomolies?

Sometimes you have to make sure your doors are unlocked for the rear hatch to work


Secondly, the only thing us DIYers should worry about when it comes to transmissions is the fluid level, check your fluid level and fill to normal capacity, otherwise, if its a transmission problem I recommend taking it to a transmission place.
