The door panel is easy to take off. There are 3 screw at the bottom of the panel and 2 behind the door handle. Once these screws are removed just pull the panel towards you and then up and it will come off, just be sure to unplug the fuel/trunk switches wire, courtesy light wire, window up/down wires, etc. Once you have the panel off you will see that the leather panel is plasti-welded into the rest of the panel. Fortunately, these welds are easily broken with a flathead screwdriver. Once the welds are broken, the leather panel just slides out from the rest of the panel. You could have it re-upholstered or do what I did and order a new door panel for around $220. The entire door panel is sold as one whole piece so you can't order just that leather part.
