OK FUELED UP THEN SHUT DOWN TO RUN IN FOR A SODA ( NOT THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT ) CAME OUT STARTED UP PUT HEADLIGHTS ON AND NO HEADLIGHTS NO TURN SIGNALS OR HORN OR FOG LIGHTS . BUT THE 4 WAYS WORKED ,YELLOW LIGHTS WORK THE RADIO AND CLOCK AND TAIL LIGHTS WORK. THE HIGH BEAMS WORKED ONLY WHEN THE HANDLE WAS PULLED TO ME SO I HELD IT IN 50 MILES HOME SO I HAD LIGHTS ANY IDEAS COULD IT BE A BAD HEADLIGHT SWITCH OR THE SWITCH FOR THE EBRAKE BECAUSE THE DAYTIME LIGHT HAVE NOT WORKED IN A YEAR ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Only thing I can think of is the brake light switch - you can check if the recall replacement was done on yours by caling your dealer with the VIN#
BTW, your Caps Lock key seems to be stuck on ![]()

at least i have something to go on so far withthe ignition switch and as for the braklight switch i belive that was done a lil while ago it was a quick fix but this just happened all of a sudden no problem with anything else no wires burning smell just shut down and started up about 10 min later ????? but ignition makes sense cause they all do need to be on for them to work but the car did start and drove great home i dont know we will see tomorrow thanks again

Unfortunately, when ignition switches go, they go without any forewarning.
If you have a set of small screwdrivers (the really thin ones), pop the steering column cover (four screws, two below, two behind the wheel - just turn it to access) and gander at the wiring block on the left side. Probably has some corrosion issues. Odd as it may sound, I fixed the wires on mine and kept the OEM switch, and it worked again. I did not have a good experience with the aftermarket switch, as it wanted to start the car as soon as I reconnected the battery. ![]() |
