Alarm Going off
Been experiencing some issues lately with my daughter's 2001 NB. The alarm has been going off for no reason. It resets itself then goes off again. I was thinking it was weather related but not 100% sure. First time it occurred the winds were 30-40mph. It occurred this morning, winds were 10-15mph but we had temps around 0.
Appreciate any advice.

has it been rainy/snowy? The 3rd brake light on my beetle leaks and sets off the alarm occasionally. Another possibility is a malfunctioning micro switch in the door locks, my '98 used to set off the alarm all the time if the switch for the lights under the rearview mirror was set to anything but off.
