Smile When to get a tune up?

Hello all!

My baby just hit 40k miles this last week and I'm wondering what the community out there does regarding engine maintenance based on mileage? Of course the dealership tried pushing me heavily for a tune up when I brought it in for the airbag sensor recall, but I declined. I checked my manual and didn't find anything in particular on it.

I live in LA, so I do mostly city driving, but not too much. I've averaged around 9-10k miles per year on it since I've had it (2 years now). Everything runs fine and I take her in for an oil change around every 4k miles. She's an '04 2.0L Sport.

Oil/air/cabin/fuel filters
Oil
Spark plugs
Flush brake fluid (every 2 years)
I'm a bit more preventative with the fuel filter but it doesn't hurt.

The schedule is on vw.com.

New plugs every 40K, new wires too if you don't use a tool to remove them from the plug.
New brake fluid every 40K too.
