Default Spark Plug Gap Help

Hi I just got some new spark plugs and was wondering what to set the gap for. I have a 2001 New Beetle, 2.0 liter.

Nappa said to set them for .043
My boyfriend accidentally set them to .048
Is that a big enough difference to redo them?

I buy the OEM plugs and install them; I've never set a spark plug gap on any of my NB's.

I think this should be ok, just make sure You replace plugs next time when the time comes.
Plug gap is very important on turbo vehicles, where speeds of air/fuel mixture entering combustion chamber are higher than NA engine. It can't be too big!
