Just bought a 99 New Beetle 2 litre GL which seems to run well but there is a lot of engine noise, as though something is catching when the car is coasting/foot is off the gas. Wondering if this might be a transmission problem or whether there is just a lot of engine noise in general from these Beetles. Planning to make a cross country trip and want to make sure everything is OK.
Can anyone recommend a good VW mechanic in the NYC area? |
