Default Light switch question

There appears to be 3 positions for the light switch: Straight up is the off position. Click to the right is on. What is the position to the left of off? My switch wont move to the left but there is an image that shows it should.

BTW I just disabled my DRL. Thanks Marvins_dad!

The icon on the left is the fog lights on indicator. Turn your lights on, then pull the knob out slightly, and it should light up, IIRC.
