Default How do you remove the air filter

Seems I can get the two philips head screws out but how do you remove the large clamp around the large hose where do you put the clamp and what about the smaler hose --please explain so that a dummy can understand.

Take it easy with that smaller hose that goes to the secondary air injection pump--I broke the squeeze clamp on mine the first time I changed the air filter and they are NOT cheap.

Notice that it has a plastic ring (which is not round; more like elliptical) and is squeezable. The way they work is to squeeze this ring, in the area that has what looks like places for your fingers, then pull the hose out. An o-ring seals the joint, the squeeze-ring (I don't know it's proper name) just locks it in place.

I think you can slide the big clamp either direction.

You'll probably need to unplug the Mass Air Flow sensor as well. Then the air filter top pivots on the edge opposite the Phillips screws to unlock it.

That's all I can remember about when I did it.
