Sunroof sunshade help

I got a 01 NB GLS in Decemeber. Now that the weather is warmer here in NE Ohio I am trying to get the sunroof to go all the way back, but it stops about 1/2 of the way in the open/ slide back position. It WILL go all the way up in the tilt open position. The previous owner had the motor for the sunroof replaced in the fall. He gave me three (3) black plastic pieces, triangular shaped, that he said came out of the space above the sunshade in the roof when they were working on the sunroof.
The sunshade will only go about 1/2 to the closed position. It will go most of the way back, but I have to struggle with it. It looks like on the drivers side, the sunshade may be missing a slide? Does anyone know what these 3 black pieces may be, and how I can put them back in or have to replace them?
Will I have to take the glass off and then remove the sunshade?
Bentley manual is on the way.

If you only need one or two replacement glides, you can probably sell the leftover glides from the kit here in the classified section.
