Question She won't start...

On Tuesday my son and I went to run some errands...the car had been previously running just fine. My son (who is 17) blinked the lights on and off...goofing around, but that was the only out of the ordinary thing. (Yes, we are getting superstitious with this car...)
We drove about three blocks away, parked it, did not lock it, and went into the store for about five minutes. Then we went to another store a few hundred yards away. When I came out...it wouldn't start. Nothing. No turning over, nothing. The lights and radio work..as well as the door locks etc.

I had to have it towed home. My husband checked the battery..it tested fine, and the connections are clean. It still refuses to start. At. All.
I miss my little car...any ideas?

With no clicking or starting noises at all, I'd start with the clutch interlock switch, or neutral safety switch - depending on which trans you have. If it's an auto, try starting it in neutral instead of park.

Ignition switch is another good possibility.

Another thing, off the top of my head would be the starter / solenoid.

I tried your suggestion, starting it in neutral (it is an automatic) and still nothing. I guess testing the starter etc as you suggested is the next step. Thank you for replying to my post. I am not really excited about taking it to a mechanic..I know it will cost lots to find out what the problem is.
