a/c only works on low
Hey folks. 95 degrees in NC and my a/c only works on low. Works great on low, but shuts off when the fan is increased.
'99 with no previous a/c service. Worked fine yesterday. Thoughts? UPDATE: recharged freon, worked great for about 30 minutes. But now a step back, no fan on one, no a/c on two-four!!! Last edited by perlmajb; 06-28-2009 at 08:36 PM.. Reason: new symptoms

updated information
Got it checked by a professional. Turns out the resistor pack was corroded. Wiring the the pack corroded. That lead to the unusual symptoms.
Not something I would have been able to repair on my own. Sometimes, you just have to give in.
