Question Stopped working: Horn, Headlights, fog lights, HVAC Fan and turn signals

I was driving down the interstate here in ATL and hit a big chunk of tire from a 18 wheeler. I was able to straddle it and thought I came through without any damage.

First sign was I lost my AC (albeit the fan still worked). By the time I made it home, my AC Fan, AC, Horn, Headlights, Foglights...all were inop.

I have unplugged the foglights (one was broken when I hit the tire) and the AC compresser had it's power plug broke in two as well when the tire went under the car. I can easly replace the fog lights and the AC plug...but I'm at a loss at what could have cause such an varity of items to fail. I've checked the headlight and fog light fuses and they are ok.

Any suggestions?

I think I've heard that all those things go out when the ignition switch goes bad, so even if the switch is ok, they're obviously linked together somehow, so problems with the ac and lights could possibly effect the other things based on the way the whole system is wired up.. firstly, I'd fix the stuff you known to be wrong and see if it helps the rest.

Turned out to be the ignition switch had shorted out and had nothing to do with hitting road junk. The 18 wheeler recap took out my A/C and fog lights, but was not responsible for the Headlights/Fan/Turn signals, Brake lights not working. Really threw me a curve.

AC was simpily just rewired up. All is ok now
