Unhappy Changing axals

I have had my NB for about a month and got a good deal I think, 2850 for a 1999 and most everyting is in great shape. For the past few weeks I have been hearing a few pops and pings and I thought that it was the axal. This morning I when I left out fot school and took a right turn and there was a lot of poping from the right front. It also kinda acted weard, I kept going and it hasnt happeded again ( a few pops here and there but nothing bad). Having this I am almost 100% that it is the axal, The problem is I dont have the money to take it to the shop and get it fixed; but I can get the axal at the part store with my buddies discount for 60 of 70 bucks. Can any one help me with my problems how to's or websights that I could go to.

Thanks
Cooky

CV's usually click when they go bad, and unless you have a torn boot that has been that way for some time I don't think it is the axle.

Far more likely would be strut mounts/bearings and/or ball joints. Sway bar and lower control arm bushings probably need replacing as well.
