They do come on at different times depending on how hot the car is however they are known for blowing fuses and one will stop working, there is a how to on how to test them around here somewhere.
Lastnight my fuse melted after about 15 hours of straight driving with the AC on. I didn't notice it until the red dummy light came on indicating overheating, though the watertemp gauge stayed at about 200 degrees F then the needle suddenly went to 0 degrees which made me think that maybe I had a leak and lost all the coolant. After doing a some quick troubleshooting and checking, I noticed that the fans were not coming on when I turned the car on nor when I turned the AC on. It was weird, I never had that happen b4
