So, I took her to a mechanic yesterday...he says it's just coincidence that this happened after we were under the hood. WHAT!?!? I find it really hard to believe that this just happened on it's own.
I'd really be interested in what some of you big time mechanics on here think ![]() |

I assume your still talking about the "lifter" tick, you are getting from the 15w oil?
Has it miraculously vanished? Wait for it to get really cold one morning and go start it up, then lets see. 15w oil is intially too thick. Especially on cold starts. However, when the car has been run for awhile. The oil will heat up and it softens it up, so it will lubricate better. As it sits, the oil will thicken back up, and can give you the lifter tick until it is warm again. I cant remember everything we had talked about... I still say to change the oil. 15-50 is too thick. |
