01Bug Cuts Out at HW Speed.

Once in a while when I'm on the freeway my bug cuts out. It feels like I let off the gas or cruise shuts off. But just as soon as it stalls it kicks right back in. It has done this with and without cruise being on.
Two days ago it did this and the next time i started it the engine lite was on. It was on for the rest of the day. By morning the lite had gone off. Today the car cut out on the freeway for a sec again. No engine lite has come on this time.
I know I need new plugs, wires, and a serpentine belt like no other. Could that cause this problem? I just changed the temp sensor and O2 sensor two months ago. And passed smog last month.
Please don't tell me this is yet ANOTHER electrical problem!

Have you changed your fuel filter? Sounds like what happened to me. I just put in some fuel injector cleaner and i've been good for awhile, but i need to change mine asap

Whenever you have a problem like this it is best to scan the car and post the codes listed in the scan so we have a plan of action.....Hard to diagnose a problem with limited info...

If i could drop $100 to have someone scan the car i wouldn't be on here asking for help. Again the engine lite is not on.

No I have not changed the filter. I do run a cleaner from chevron once in a while. So maybe it is the filter. Maybe the cleaner helps for a while and now its time for a cleaner/filter again. Ill have to try that. Thanks for the help.

Thank's for the hostile retort....All ya had to say was i don't have a scan tool. Then i would have suggested you look thought the list of fellow NB owners here who have one and may even do it for ya for free you ... !
