Sooo, I've searched and I can't find out how to manually trigger the secondary release, I know the inner car one is supposed to always break off, but the GF went to close the hood and the hood closed and the black plastic puller stayed behind, tilted to an angle, pulled it out and sure enough, there is not enough left to even think about hooking it back on.
Ordered a new one from the dealer, but how do I get the secondary latch to release, so I can install the new one? ![]() |

LOL... So simple, you have to have skinny fingers, you have to reach up under the hood lip, feel a flat sort of panel that you can pull down on, it's on your left side, pull down and to the right on it while lightly pulling up on the hood. Badda bing!
