Unhappy '98. 2.0 Beetle - A/C and blower motor stop working

Hi there,

A/C and fan blower just stop working the other day. Recirculate button is working!
I checked:
- fuses (on the top of the battery and inside the car) and they are good.
- Fan control module
- Blower motor resistor (but not blower motor).

Any idea what to check next?

Thanks

check the fan selector switch to make sure it is still making contact. or the blower motor itself.

It could just be something in the blower motor like a leaf or piece of paper.

To take it out I think you need to take off the center dash and glove box first.

I once had this issue and it was the fuse...I replaced the fuse and it never happened again.
