A/C and heating was a short course.

There was a bit of testing on the pressures, and they also covered diagnosis of the most common problems, example would be not allowing the system to burp long enough. Some other things we covered, ( I cant remember the term used 100% ) However, when coolant interacts overtime with solder, and what the affects and problems would be associated with that, also covered deposits such as scale build up. Difference in temperature in the upper & lower hose if there is a restriction, or other problems. Microwave test thermostats.

We also did dye tests, among other things for leaks. Pressure test caps, I already did a heater core, and water pump in class on a customers vehicle.

Went over thread sealants such as ( Super 300 ) for screws that may thread into water jackets etc... There was a quite a bit in the A/C & heating portion, it was just really short and crammed in.

Hugs or shots? I prefer shots...

Yes,

It ended up being a fan control module, so we had that replaced and it's not giving any more overheat problems so far...

xx crosses fingers xx

Next month will be plugs/wires/coil pack, then she should be all good to go!

I had replaced the head gasket, surfaced head, water pump, timing belt, thermostat etc. When I fired it up, it did not take long to overheat. I drained the water and noticed not much water come out. When I added water again, it did not take much. So I did what I had done years ago. I pulled the top radiator hose off at the head, filled the radiator through the top radiator hose until water run out of the outlet at the head, reinstalled hose, topped off the system, and now no more overheating. Run it for a while and added a little of water as needed. Now it runs normal temperature. If you run into a problem as this, this may help.
