Hey Guys,
What is the recommended CCA for the 2.0L NB? I have an interstate 580cca thats gone dead the a dozen times so its time to replace. I know when I hook my small boost pack up to it, thats barely enough to crank the engine. On a side note: I've already checked for leaks, 30 seconds after the doors lock, amps drop to .06, so shouldn't be going dead overnight. Don't have an AVR, but with my DVM I show 14.7V while car is running, and after the car is boosted, it starts great the rest of the day. |

The higher the CCA the better. Especially if you are in a cold climate.
580 is pretty standard. You can get some that are better and higher then that. You might be able to use the diesel battery!! They ranked in the 700's. |

don't forget, the higher the cca's the more expensive the battery will be.
if you want a battery that will last your forever... invest in a deep cycle battery. I'd still be on my first one still if i could open the hood of my beetle after it got totaled.
