Default Code p0304 and nothing else

My '99 has been running fine and dandy...suddenly it starts hesitating....check engine light pops on and starts flashing...from experience I know its a misfire....so pull out the old code looker up thingy...and just one code 0304 cylinder misfire #4...nothing else no random misfire just 304....plugs wires and timing plus cat and other assorted items were replaced last year...could it be the ignition module or is it the plug or wire...i don't really want to go and start replacing parts...anyone have a suggestion ?? Greatly appreciated !!

Have you replaced the coil?

Not yet...I was thinking that it could be that...it seems about the time for it to go...but its just happening on the one cylinder...from what i have read on here usually when it goes bad its a mulitple misfire or the problem occurs with other cylinder since they fire as 1 and 4 or 2 and 3...

Probably the plug or wire to #4, the coil for #4 is common with #1 so would probably give 0301s as well if the coil.

Could possibly be the injector but start with the plug and wire. Unfortunately both are best replaced in sets....
