Default A/C learning curve

OK here goes......

I had a couple threads with this problem but this is what is going on as of now

I am a new VW beetle owner (99 gls)

The a/c does not come on. The fans and blower work and air comes out all vents but the compressor never comes on

I read all the threads you guys directed me too and i did a whole lot of test

All of the fuses are good

I tested voltage at a few spots

at switch----yes
at batter----yes
going into FCM---yes
coming out to compressor (from FCM ) NO
at compressor----NO

I jumped out compressor and nothing happens

I changed the FCM and everything stayed the same
but it was a used part so i guess it is possible to have 2 bad FCM but not likely.

I tested the amount of refrigerant in the system and it is correct not too much.

I am lost on what to do next any advice please please please

thanks

I actually responded to your other post. The used FCM that you tried, do you know for certain it is good?

Read this post and see if you can determine which A/C component setup you have and check them.

no i do not know for certain it was good because it was indeed a used part but i would think it is. I am going to break open the original one and see if the relays inside are bad or what
