I purchased my Timing belt kit from Blauparts for $135.00

I'm not knocking any others but the parts were quality parts, the services dept took care of you big time and the package arrived next day.

It doesn't come with stretch bolts.

is the water pump metal or plastic

FYI..... If you don't replace these bolts you're looking for more problems... They are one time use only......!!!!!

The water pump impeller is metal.

I installed this kit, minus the seals, a few weeks ago - worked out just fine. Also installed the new stretch bolt set from ECS Tuning

What was you mileage? I got 95k and I'm planning to get same kit and also skip seals as I don't want to mess with it unless it leaks. Did you rent tools from Blauparts?
Did you get this bolts kit from ECS Volkswagen New Beetle 2.0 > Search > Mount Bolt > ES#2201 Engine Mount Bolt Kit (Set Of Seven Bolts) - MK44CEMBS ? Is it the same as from dealer but cheaper. AFAIK there are only 2 stretch bolts?
