Default Need Help on Cooling Fans/Air Shroud Removal

2002 New Beetle GLS 2.0 with A/C. Does anybody have step by step procedures (with pics) on how to removal the cooling fans or the complete cooling fans & air shroud. I need to replace the L/H fan mine is not working and thought I would just replace both while I am in the area.

No real need to replace both if the other is working.

I believe the Bentley says to remove the front bumper. But we replaced my drivers side fan just by carefull sliding it out through the top. I've heard you can also slide it through the bottom, but we didn't have a good area to do that.

There are only 4 screws holding it on but they are a bitch to get off, we went from under the car but if you can get the bumper off Ide go that route.

Got the L/H Fan replaced pulled the 3 Torx (T30)screws and pulled it out from the bottom. Fan now works...Now I have to replace the AC compressor since it has a bad clutch. Both went out at the same time. Got a good deal on a new AC compressor, dryer, and seal kit. Shipped FedX GRD for $207.00
