Exclamation 225/40 R18 88W Correct Tire Pressure?

Hi, I recently bought a 2000 VW New Beetle and it have Dunlop 225/40 R18 88W Le Mans LM703 (Tyres Dunlop LM703 tyre size 225/40 R18 - www.iTyre.com) on it. I cant find the max pressure on the sidewall.

What is the correct psi of my tires? Im currently at 30psi

*Already replaced air filter, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter and still low average of 15 mpg.

Max inflation is 51psi. For better mileage use 35 to 40 psi in all tires. My suggestion.
Similar tire. Dunlop Direzza DZ101 225/40 R18 88W

You may start to wear the tyres mostly in the centre of the tyre width with pressures that high...

well i work at discount tire, for a tire that small 40 is way too high and does wear only in the center. i'm currently running 32 so that when the tires do warm up after a little bit of driving the air pressure increases to about 35-36. and yes a couple of pounds of air does make a difference with such a small tire. at 40 psi, when your tires warm up it'll be around 45-46

If you have no other info then I would start at 32-34psi and monitor the wear across the tyres and adjust to ensure even wear.
