Exclamation Catalytic Converter Warranty Extension in Canada

Hey gang,
I just got P0420 code and it was directing to the catalytic converter.
I understand that VWoA did an extension on the AEG 12/120 and AVH 10/100, but does anyone know if they are the same in Canada?
I did a search but no conclusion to the Canadian warranty
Please give me a shout if you know. Thanks

Here in the states, its 10/120 for the AEG. Thats the only one I know of here. Had my '99 fail this year and I didn't get it replaced because Im out of the 10-year requirement (I only had 90k on the car too...).

That said, it was less than $200 USD to replace it at a local muffler shop. If you can't get it under a warranty, its really not too bad to get it done. The P0420 is definitely a failed Cat code...thats the one I got. Do you have any rattling? I know on the warranty extension here on the AEG, it had to do with the internal components failing and causing a rattle. Mine failed in that exact fashion, so I was kind of upset that they wouldn't cover it.

You don't have to go OEM. Thats why its so expensive. I just got an off the shelf replacement. No problems. But good you're covered!
