I have an 02 Beetle 2.0 that I just purchased for my wife and I the a/c is ice cold and the fan selector switch was on #3 when I was driving the car yesterday. I pulled into my parking spot and was looking at the different switches in the car and decided to put the fan switch on #4 and bam no more air. compressor was cycling and all but no fan. so I quicky found the blown fuse that is located in the car and it was a red 15 amp fuse and it was blown, so I replaced it and so far it has lasted but I did not try and put the fan on #4.
Any ideas on what to look for elsewhere, and what may be causing this problem. Thanks, Guy. |

I postedthat the fuse was a 15 amp. It wasn't, it's a 10 amp. I'm kinda leaning toward the thought that the fuse wasn't the right amperage.
