shifting problem

When I am driving my 2002 beetle when it switches gears it seems like it jerks and loses power. I have also noticed my radio and my AC go out sometimes for a few seconds. I am a new beetle owner. Please HELP

They seem like separate problems, I would say the jerking might be a vacuum leak somewhere but if its thumping then it could be low on trans fluid or even the tranny acting up.

As for the radio and AC its probably a bad battery.
