Default Transmission leak

I have red fluid under my car almost nightly. It started out at a 2" diameter spot and is now up to a running down the floor a few inches. I look under the car and can't find where its dripping from but its approx where the right wheel drive comes out of the tranny. The car runs fine.
Is this possibly a seal? Is it doable to pull, easy to fix. I have a lift avaliable to me.
How much are 2.0 transmissions?
Any advice helps.

Frank

Is it an auto or manual?

2.0 AT would set you back anywhere from $350 to $700 depending on quality milage etc.

There is a transmission fluid pan that has a plastic plug on top that can become loose and leak over time as mine did. Its on the driver side but is obscured by a metal plate you would have to remove to fix the seal or plug.
