Default Ea113

I've been doing some online research and I came across the 2.0 listed as an "EA113 series" motor. I already knew the MKIV had usable parts for our "not upgrade-able motor" but now I'm seeing many VW (and Audi) 2.0 EA113 engines with Turbo options beyond my AVH searches. Even the 2012 Volkswagen Golf R uses the same EA113 engine! Parts like the exhaust manifold and timing all look like they would bolt right up from just about every car that has this series engine. Has anyone else noticed this or an I way off in NeverNeverLand just dreaming about possibilities?

EA113 series

The EA113 engine is a derivative of the classic EA827 series. It includes a crossflow cylinder head instead of counterflow cylinder head.
