Default pink?

Hey,

Ive been a proud owner of a 00 bug for 6 months now and everything seems to be going smoothly. All i noticed was that my coolant is slowly creeping low, so I checked for leaks and didn't see any, but there might be a leak somewhere which i'll get checked out the next time i stop at the shop. But for now i was wondering, since the coolant is at minimum in the resivour. My coolant is the pink one, can i simply put some distilled water in it to fill it back up to maximum? I never dealt with a pink coolant so im not sure if its 50/50 mixture. And also where can I buy the pink coolant,,,,what is it called? (by the way i have a 2000 2.0) ........thanks

to answer the first question, yes you can add distilled water but i'd only put it up to half-way between the max and min marks, so as to preserve whatever ratio is already in there as closely as possible. definitely get it checked for leaks, though.

the coolant is called Pentosin G12 . it comes in pink and purple, though if i remember right the purple's designation is G12 Plus.

here's a link to it at an online store: ECS Tuning, though i doubt your dealership would charge much more. (though i could be wrong, as i've never bought any before.)

The Pink and Purple are mixable, the Pink to any other color IS NOT. That's also something that should be thrown out there. ONLY USE PINK (or purple)!!
