Default Coolant leak

The beetle has been using coolant at the rate of about a third of a litre per 100 miles
I have not been able to locate the leak visibly and the engine runs strong
I don't think it is a head gasket as in just put one on and it purs
Today I jacked it up and noticed coolant leaking from a rubber grommets around the passenger side jacking point and again where the fuel line exits the chassis to the rear pass side

My guess it is coming from the heater core and running under the carpet
There is no wet spots in the engine compartment
Anyone care to guess?

You did not mention the year or modle but I have heard that the quick connects for the heater hoses leak at the firewall. Could this be it? If you suspect a heater core you could always put a little air pressure to the coolant fill bottle and take a look, it should be quickly evident what is leaking. Do this with a cold engine.
