Default Can I use Dex-Cool coolant

If a complete coolant flush is done can I use Dex-Cool coolant?
I have alum. heads on my chevy and it uses Dex-Cool.

Why bother? Just get a jug of G12 from the dealer, it will last you for years. If DEX-Cool was better for our cars I'm sure VW would use it.

I wouldn't . Just use G12 Coolant. I am sure there is a reason not to use the green stuff or whatever color Dex Cool is.

Not if you want corrosion in your system and problems later down the line like stuck thermostat, clogged radiator, only G12 cooland and distilled water 50/50 or pre-mixed stuff. Good luck man.
