There are caster and camber adjustment sets which replace the top strut mounts. I know Raybestus makes one.

Really not needed unless you really drop the car.

Most of time camber and caster are not adjustable and if they are out of specification you definitely have some bad suspension parts due to worn or collision. DON'T TRY TO ADJUST IT!!! Find out what parts are bad then replace them. Camber out of spec is always caused by a bad ball joint, bend lower control arm or a defective strut.

I replaced almost everything in the front suspension except the bearings and springs, does anybody think those would cause this? I did not replaced the swaybar bushing either. Most of the parts that I replaced were already high mileage and were due for replacement in the near future......

Did you replace the lower control arm bushings?

Everything in the front suspension has been replaced except; bearings, springs and swaybar bushings.
yep, the whole control arm was replaced with the bushings already pressed in. I am starting to think the bearing might be the culprit but it does not make a funny sqweek noise yet. I would hate to replace the bearing cause that means I'd have to take a lot of parts off just to take my steering knuckle to a machine shop to have the bearings pressed out/in......Good thing I like working on my car the neighbors already labeled me as weirdo-out working on my beetle in the garage every weekend...LOL

thanks indytom.

Both the bearing and spring can cause camber off when failed. However if bearing failed you can notice the noise when speed over 30mph, and when spring fail you can notice the ride height change.

Actually I suggest you redo the alignment check in another shop. But before that make sure these: 1. all 4 tires are the proper size and with proper inflation. 2. Vehicle is without any load over 1lbs except spare tire. I strongly suspect either the shop's machine is bad or last time alignment check was not done properly.

Just a reference. several weeks ago one of my friend(a young lady) drives a leased 2011 new beetle(final edition) and she hit a rock on the road seriously which caused the car to jump up...Her husband managed to drive the car to dealer and then dealer told him that the subframe is damaged and the first step repair would cost $2900. Then after the repair they could test drive and then determine whether the transmission is good or not. I guess you might have to take a look whether your subframe is bent or not.

Also are you having the steel rims? If one of the rims is bent somewhere it can affect the alignment check too.

Good call, this is probably the most likely cause of a false camber reading TBH...
