Question Cleaning MAF

I am also having starting problem in my 98 Beetle. Where is this part, I would like to check it to see if it is clean.

I thought only turbo's had a maf sensor?

ALL cars have a MAF at least the more modern ones do. I know MKII's have them

There's no real way to "see" if it's clean. Just take it out and clean it. There is a how-to thread here somewhere, I'm just too lazy to find it...
