Unhappy Vacuum Hoses . . . .

I know this topic has been talked <written> about on here before and I've done the searches and asked the questions but now I stand staring at my poor engine with the stupid P0411 code and know that if I just change my vacuum hoses all will be better. Since it's a 7 yr old car and it's never been changed. I own the Chilton's New Beetle book and there are no diagrams of what and where the hoses are. So I tell my husband to replace all of them in the engine and he looks at me like I am CRAZY!! Where are they he asks and I gave him a puzzled look .

Can some PLEASE post a picture, tell me how many, what I need to look for. SOMETHING!?!? I've done the search and it seems a lot of people on here has done it and said it's easy but I'm kinda slow and need to shown or something!?! I know that I have seen a picture of them before but it was in a different engine. So what do I do now? I will be SOOOOO grateful for ANY kind of information. I am in the process of modifying my baby and then all of the sudden the CEL came on. And when I say, "modifying" I mean just cosmetic, nothing to do with the engine. I am sorry this is so long but I want her up and running soon and I didn't know what else to do.

Thanks in advance

There should be a vacuum hose routing diagram under the hood somewhere that will at least give a rough idea of what you are looking for. Not sure about the 2.0, but on the turbo there are a number of hoses under the engine cover (big black plastic thing)...Hope that helps somewhat!
