Default Loose tappet?

Say, I noticed a little "tick-tick-ticking" at idle yesterday, that I've never noticed before. Sounded like what I remember usually being called a "loose and/or noisy tappet." What you any of you out there with the 2.0 think it might be (due to)?

I asked the same question, apparently they are hydraulic although I have not looked for myself, also heard you can make them tighter but its a major shimming job or something like that. yep my 2.0 ticks like a loose lifter.

I think it´s related with fuel re-circulating. It could be magnetic valve for coal-filter or there is fuel re-circulating valve wich makes noise at idlespeed.
These are my wild guesses!
Hydraulic liters are very simple to check. Ok, you have to take valvecover and inletmanifold out first!
Test lifters by pushing them downward with a suitable wooden dowel with camshaft lobe pointing up. If
lifter can be pushed downward more than .004" (.10 mm), replace lifters. Lifters must be replaced as a set.

There were two versions of that checking, so keep it between 0,1-0,2mm

- Push hydraulic lifter down lightly with a wooden or plastic wedge. If when pushed
down a 0.2 mm thick feeler gauge can be pushed between the camshaft and lifter,
replace that lifter.
Note:
Do NOT start the engine for approx. 30 minutes after installing new lifters. Hydraulic
compensation elements in the lifters must settle otherwise the valves will strike the pistons.
