Default How do I take off the battery cover?

I was going to do a few painting mods under the hood in the next few weeks and wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to take off the battery cover? It looks simple but I'm not sure how it actually comes off.

If anyone has advice, perfect! If you have pics or diagrams, even better

TIA,
Dale

Do you just want to open the top, or remove the whole battery box?

The power steering fluid reservoir is mounted to the left side of the battery box, so it's not as easy as it appears.

I just want to take off the actual battery cover top for now... I see screws to the side but it's tricky to get off... maybe someone with a Haynes or Bentley manual could post a pic of how it actually is supposed to come off

There are (2) 10mm (I believe) bolts at the base of the battery box rear, right next to the air box. It's probably a bit easier to remove the airbox first. The lid to the actual battery cover itself is held in place by a couple of snap hinges. If you can operate a spray paint can, you should be able to remove the cover.
