Anyone find any clear front turnsignals yet? I have a broken clip on the driver's front. I would rather not pay >$50 dollars for OEM one.

Buy all FOUR corners for about $50 shipped here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-NE...spagenameZWDVW or just the fronts here for $20 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VW-NE...spagenameZWD1V

i know that you can get the fronts clear from a euro hookup, but shippings prolly gonna kill ya. i dont think the redesign beetle is gonna have a bolt on boom like the 1st gen nb did. Ask JuggBug where she got hers.

You will have to buy the '06 clears through Europe or Japan where they are clear from the factory. Unfortunately, they do not include the parking lights (there are 2 lights in ours - blinker and parking). Europe and Japan only have the blinkers. You can cut up yours to take out the second light and glue it on to the Euro one. heezabadboy did his and Juggbugg's. I tried to do mine and messed them up. They cost about $60 to buy so messing them up was a real expensive mistake.

There appear to be no aftermarket clears for an '06.

Mazzja got the clears for heezabadboy and Juggbugg. She can probably get you a set as well.

Study the pictures in the above referenced post. The first picture shows the normal amber unit beside the new clear unit. Notice that the amber unit has 2 holes for the 2 separate lights and the clear one only has one. This is the blinker. The parking light is what is missing.

Study the remaining pictures. The guy that did this for Juggbugg cut an opening in the clear unit in the same location as the amber unit for the 2nd light. He then cut the 2nd light mount out of the amber unit and attached it to the clear unit and sealed it. Once that is completed, you are done. He used a cut off saw.

I attempted the same thing but I didn't have a cut off saw - I used a dremel tool. That did not work well since the plastic basically melted rather than having clean cuts.

If you get this to work (where did you get the clears?), I would be willing to talk to you about doing a set for me. I don't have the right tools so I'm not going to attempt it again.

Took about 4 minutes. I remembered about which page it was on (page 9 if you have 60 posts per page page view).

I still want to do this but not until I find someone with the skills. Wish Tim had done mine.

I'm scared to go back in there and look from the beginning. I will have to one day though...it's the history of JuggBug, which is kinda cool

Stupid Tim! He's basically fallen off the face of the earth....but I still bug him from time to time. I will mention the clears next time I email him.

I know you guys said to buy the '06 clears through Europe or Japan. Does anyone have a specific website or contact I could use? Thanks!

I contacted Koji at www.bugsgogo.com. He was able to buy them for me and send them to me.

If you decide to do this, would you post here or PM me before you place the order? I destroyed one of my clears in the effort to do the mod. I still have the other one (somewhere). I would like to order a replacement for the one I destroyed. I'm still hopeful I can make this work. Or I might go around without parking lights.

I had to email him to request the clears. They are not on his website.

Thank you for the information. I will let you know when I decide to order. It may be a few weeks though. I want to finish my current project first.
