Question Rough Engine Idle

My [new to me] 2006 NB Convertible with Triptronic seems to idle rough. It has 5,400 miles on it. I can feel the vibration in the steering wheel when stopped. Is this normal for the 5 cylinder engine, or something I should take it to the dealer for.

I owned a manual 2.5 and never noticed this at all. I now own a tiptronic 2.5 and notice the idle is a little rougher, but no where near what you're describing. Please keep in mind mine only has about 400 miles on it, but still, that doesn't seem normal to me.

Our 06 does the same thing. It is a five cyl engine which is an odd number of cylinders. All vehicles with odd numbers of cylinders are prone to some vibration at idle. they have a natural imbalance. If it is really bad then it is not normal.
