Default Where are all the 2.5L people

I checked to see how many post were for the 2.5L and not very many people. Can I ask why. I just bought a brand new 2007 Salsa Red New Beetle with 70 miles on it 2 days ago and was looking for people to talk to. I got a killer deal I got them down to 17,000 dollars from 19,480 that was with out some of the extra stuff they added so that the acutal cost was 23,00 I got them down to 17,000 traded my Silver 2000 NB for it.

There are a lot of us 2.5L drivers on the forums, we just don't post often in the problems section. We just talk to other members about our beetles, no matter what the engine.

Was there anything specific to the 2.5 you wanted to talk to other 2.5 owners about? Or do you just want to discuss the car?

I have a 2.5 NBC triple white edition. I don't mind the engine, but I can say I definitely miss my 1.8t. I don't miss the higher octane gas though at 3.09/gallon.

I have a 2.5 nbc. I like it, it seems to run
as good as my 2003 turbo.

Smile My Salso RED Beetle has almost 900 Miles on it

I just got it last thursday at 74 miles now it has almost 900 that is because I drove it from NM to TX but I hauled it from AZ to NM. It is dirty because of the move. I packed everything I was planning on bringing to TX and then some. I was amazed at how much room they really have. I am very neverous when I drive it though it is my first brand new car. I was a proud owner of a Used 2000 Silver Beetle. I notice when I drive this car that I don't hear the engine so I seem to forget to go into 5th gear because of the music playing and not hearing the engine. I am alittle sad that VW did away with individual pieces for the New Beetle everything comes as a package. I didn't get fog lights that is a real downer for me.

I haven't Named it yet still thinking on that one. I have been a member for 2 years now and this is a great website.

Take care
Jesse

"I checked to see how many post were for the 2.5L and not very many people. Can I ask why."

1.- I'm at work.
2.- I'm at Lee Harvey's.
3.- I'm driving around in my NBC.
4.- I'm home asleep.
5.- .00005% of the time, I post here...

And like most of us, unless there's a problem, we just don't post, we tend to lurk... and in my experience, the 2.5s have been relatively problem-free...

Love my 07 Salsa Red NBC! I have the same problem with the shifting (can't hear the engine) so I use the auto or sport mode most of the time. The 2.5 has plenty of pickup and power for me, and so far, the only problems I have had were a burned out back-up light and a wiring issue with the wipers. Both fixed right away by the dealership. I have 2450 miles on it (it had 15 miles on it when I got it in late June.)

Welp, here's hoping that those of you who now own an '07 N.B. absolutely no problems with your heating system - esp. since it's getting cooler / colder.

The '06's had issues with a bubble forming in the cooling system causing the heater to blow out "warm air" only. In fact our '06 is about due for it's 20K checkup / oil change and we intend to have them look at this issue again. VW is supposed to be working up a permanent fix for this problem, but I've not seen or heard of anything from them - yet!

Other than that we love our '06 Option 1 coupe - Reflex Silver. It's my wife's very first NEW car and she loves it!

The heat in my 07 is so hot that I can't leave the thermostat beyond the mid point or I can't stand the heat!
