05 beetle service manual

Hey guys,
I've been through the forums and haven't found what I was looking for.
I'm trying to troubleshoot the red/blue coolant light on the dash, and I don't want to throw parts at it.
Its an 05 Beetle 2.5L auto convertable. 50k miles or so.
On a cold start, the light starts off flashing blue for a few minutes. Then it starts flashin red for a few minutes. Then it goes away. While driving highway speeds the red light may come on (flashing) for 10 seconds here and 20 seconds there. It happens at random.
I've verified the engine is not overheating with a pyrometer. The coolant level is full. Every time I hook it up to my scanner it's the light isn't on and the coolant temp reading from the ECM comes back a reasonable temprature.
I'd hate to throw a coolant temp sensor at it if I can't confirm its bad.
Does anybody have a service manual for this car or for any car with the 2.5 in it? Does anybody know where the CTS is on the 2.5? And lastly.... Does anybody know what the CTS should read (ohms) when cold/hot?

Hmm, the 2.5L wasn't in the 2005 MY. That might help clear up some confusion. The 2.5 didn't get added until 2006.
